A Holistic Neighborhood Community Improvement Program

As president of the Greeley Neighborhood Community Development Corporation Inc. I cannot support the top down, government contorted, costly, Home Owners Association style, Neighborhood Councils proposal recommended by the ex- bureaucrats and ex-elected officials of the LGSC on this November’s ballot.

Since the Greeley (Neighborhood) Area Plan was completed, approved and included in the B-SB Master Plan in 2011 The GNCDCInc. has been working to try and get A Holistic Neighborhood Community Improvement Program consisting of a Greater B-SB Community Council to advise the Council of Commissioners and a Neighborhood Community Improvement Organization to work with our local government to improve our neighborhood according to the Greeley Neighborhood (community) Plan.

Our holistic plan as proposed in B-SB Council Bill – Ordinance 2014-8 would be a no additional cost to the taxpayer program, called for the B-SB Commissioner to function as neighborhood Community Council Coordinators and be the instigators, coordinators and facilitators for neighborhood and greater community improvement like they should be doing anyway. Which costs the taxpayer absolutely no more. This was beginning to happen in 2012-14 before the implementation of 03.03 (e) was killed by the then administration, for fear it would be a checks and balance.
